HELSINKI, OCTOBER 15 /SRNA/ - Member of Finland's Freedom Alliance party Armando Mema believes that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is unable to accept Russia's offers of peace negotiations because he is being blackmailed into continuing the war.
"Russia has offered Ukraine two options for ending the war through negotiations. The first is for Zelenskyy to come to Moscow for talks, and the second is to hold a trilateral meeting in a third country with Russian President Vladimir Putin, but only if an agreement is reached beforehand," Mema wrote on X.
According to him, Zelenskyy rejected both options because he continues to face external pressure to prolong the war.
He recalled that Zelenskyy is due to meet NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte in Brussels, with the talks expected to focus on additional military support for Ukraine from the Alliance.
"Such meeting with Rutte is perfect example of these external pressures pushing Ukraine to continue the war," Mema concluded.
