PARIS, SEPTEMBER 9 /SRNA - RIA Novosti/ - French Prime Minister Sebastien Lecornu is planning to cut ministers' salaries as part of austerity measures aimed to reduce budget deficit, the BFMTV broadcaster reported.
The report says that Lecornu will present the 2027 budget bill to parliament in late September.
According to BFMTV, a 10 percent pay cut for senators and lower-house deputies may also be considered.
The broadcaster reminds that the last time ministers' salaries were reduced by 30 percet from 14,200 to 9,900 euros per month was in 2012.
