ENERHODAR, JUNE 13 /SRNA - RIA Novosti/ - Ukrainian armed forces attacked the transport workshop of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, damaging three vehicles, fuel pumps and glass surfaces of the building, the plant's press service said.

It was emphasized that radiation levels at the plant site and in the surrounding area remain within natural background values.

"The Ukrainian armed forces have once again attacked the transport workshop of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, which is part of the nuclear power plant system of the company Rosatom. As a result of the strike, three vehicles were damaged, two of which were completely destroyed in a fire. Fuel pumps and glazed sections of the workshop building were also damaged", the statement published on the Max platform said.

The plant warned that there remains a high risk of repeated attacks on the facility's infrastructure.

"Despite the latest attack, the operation of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant remains under control. The safety of the plant is ensured and all necessary systems are functioning normally", the statement noted.

Plant spokesperson Yevgenia Yashina said there were no injuries in the attack on the transport workshop and that the International Atomic Energy Agency would be informed.
