JOHN HEALEY RESIGNS

LONDON, JUNE 11 /SRNA/ - British Defense Secretary John Healey has announced his resignation from the post.

In a letter to UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, he said that the Treasury had not provided enough money for the Ministry of Defense to meet its commitment to increase defense capacity.

"After explaining to you that I would not be able to accept a Defense Investment Plan settlement that does not give our /Armed/ Forces the resources they need, l am now left with no other option than to submit my resignation as your Defence Secretary," Healey wrote in a letter published on X.
