HAMAS SPECIAL FORCES COMMANDER KILLED

TEL AVIV, SEPTEMBER 20 /SRNA-RIA Novosti/ – The Israel Defense Forces /IDF/ said they had killed a commander of Hamas' Nukhba special forces unit and two members of the unit who were involved in the October 2023 attack on Israel.

"The IDF and ISA /Israel Security Agency/ eliminated two terrorists who infiltrated Israel on October 7 and the commander of a Nukhba group," the statement said.

The IDF identified the Nukhba commander as Bashir al-Barsh.

The Hamas members were accused of attacking IDF soldiers and attempting to rebuild Hamas' combat capabilities in Gaza.

Israeli forces said they had used precision munitions and aerial surveillance in an effort to reduce harm to civilians.
