GREEK FIGHTER JET CRASHES DURING AIR SHOW

ATHENS, SEPTEMBER 5 /SRNA/ — A Greek Air Force aircraft crashed during an air show north of Athens in front of several thousand spectators.

There were no immediate reports of injuries among those attending following the crash of the F-4 Phantom.

Air Force officials said it was not known whether the two crew members managed to eject before the crash.

A helicopter dropped water over the crash site to extinguish a fire on the ground, the AP reported.

The incident occurred during the annual air show at Tanagra Air Base.
