FOUR KILLED IN LUGANSK REPUBLIC ATTACKS

MOSCOW, SEPTEMBER 26 /SRNA-RIA Novosti/ - Four people were killed and five wounded in the Lugansk People's Republic /LPR/ in attacks by the Ukrainian armed forces, regional governor Leonid Pasechnik said.

"Another difficult day for our republic - four people were killed and five wounded," Pasechnik wrote on the Max messaging service.

He added that 12 municipalities had come under attack over the past 24 hours and that vehicles, residential buildings and civilian and municipal infrastructure had been damaged.

"Emergency services and local authorities are currently working to quickly deal with the consequences of the attacks," the governor added.

Separately, the Russian Defense Ministry said Russian air defense systems had shot down 1,222 Ukrainian drones, four guided aerial bombs and two HIMARS rockets over the past 24 hours.
