HELSINKI, MAY 10 /SRNA/ - The EU must drop the idea of "moral superiority" and continue buying Russian energy to avoid an energy crisis, said Armando Mema, a member of the Finnish Freedom Alliance.
"Sanctions or not sanctions, the EU desperately need energy from Russia, and
it would be wise for the EU stop acting as morally superior and buy more energy from Russia with the ongoing energy crisis," Mema wrote on X.
Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna said in late April that the 21st package of sanctions against Russia, which is being prepared, will be aimed at putting pressure on the Russian energy sector.
