DUBLIN, JUNE 6 /SRNA-RIA Novosti/ – Ireland's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has barred two Israeli ministers from entering the country: National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir and Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich.
The Ministry stated that the decision was made in line with comments by Irish Prime Minister Micheál Martin, who said that Ireland would take measures to prevent members of the Israeli government from entering the country.
Martin said that the EU should impose additional measures against the two Israeli ministers, arguing that their words and actions "reflect a desire to remove Palestinians from Palestine."
Earlier, the news outlet Politico reported, citing sources, that the names of the two ministers had been removed from potential EU sanctions lists.
