DEATH TOLL RISES TO 675

KATHMANDU, AUGUST 29 /SRNA/ — Nepal's National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority said 675 bodies have so far been recovered from areas affected by landslides and floods, while 2,498 people remain missing.

According to Nepal's Department of Tourism, contact has been lost with a total of 753 tourists, including 589 foreign nationals.

The Kathmandu District Administration Office has called on various associations, institutions, businesses and individuals to donate humanitarian aid to help victims in the districts of Rasuwa, Nuwakot and Dhading, Xinhua reported.
