CVIJANOVIĆ: ATTENDING RECEPTION IN NEW YORK A GREAT HONOUR

NEW YORK, SEPTEMBER 23 /SRNA/ – Željka Cvijanović, the Serb BiH Presidency member, said that it was a great honour for her to attend a reception hosted by U.S. President Donald Trump on the occasion of the UN General Assembly session in New York.

Asked about her impressions of the reception in New York, Cvijanović told SRNA that it was an opportunity to meet and speak with numerous European and world leaders, as well as senior officials of the U.S. administration.

Cvijanović also said that she was pleased to have had the opportunity, prior to the reception, to meet with U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Mike Waltz, with whom she discussed the current political and economic situation in BiH, as well as opportunities to strengthen cooperation in all relevant fields.

"We remain committed to further strengthening relations with the United States, based on a positive approach and a balanced attitude that President Trump’s administration is demonstrating toward all peoples of BiH," Cvijanović emphasized.

The reception in New York was hosted by U.S. President Donald Trump for heads of states and governments on the occasion of the UN General Assembly session.
