TEHRAN, MAY 24 /SRNA/ - Fighting between the United States and Iran will end on all fronts, including Lebanon, according to a preliminary agreement between Washington and Tehran, the Tasnim news agency reported.
Details of the possible U.S.–Iran agreement indicate that, if the memorandum of understanding becomes a formal agreement, the conflict between the United States and its allies and Iran and its allies must end on all fronts.
The provision would also apply to the conflict between Israel and Lebanon.
Tasnim reports that Tehran is insisting that the United States withdraw its troops from the vicinity of Iran.
U.S. President Donald Trump said yesterday that an agreement with Iran has been largely reached, that the final aspects and details are being worked out, and that they will be announced soon.
The United States and Israel launched attacks on targets in Iran on February 28, including Tehran.
Iran responded with strikes on Israeli territory and U.S. military facilities in the Middle East.
Washington and Tehran announced a ceasefire on April 7. Subsequent negotiations held in Islamabad ended without progress.
