BERLIN, JULY 2 /SRNA/ - Alternative for Germany /AfD/ co-chair Tino Chrupalla called for the identification of those who ordered the sabotage of the Nord Stream gas pipeline and for the cessation of military aid to Kiev, after German prosecutors formally charged a Ukrainian citizen with involvement in the attack.
Chrupalla wrote on X that the terrorist attack on the vital artery of German industry must be thoroughly investigated, which means identifying those responsible and making their identities public.
He stressed that the investigation should not be interrupted if it leads to high-ranking Ukrainian military officials or Ukrainian intelligence services.
"Only then will we know whether other countries are involved in this war crime against Germany. We already have enough evidence to stop sending military aid to Ukraine," Chrupalla added.
The German Federal Prosecutor's Office announced that it had filed an indictment against a Ukrainian citizen for the terrorist attack on the Nord Stream gas pipelines.
"The person is accused of complicity in a war crime, including attacking civilian objects, causing an explosion, deliberate destruction and disrupting public services," the statement said.
The explosions on two Russian gas pipelines Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 occurred on September 26, 2022.
