BITCOIN PRICE EXCEEDS $71,000

WASHINGTON, AUGUST 20 /SRNA - RIA Novosti/ - The price of Bitcoin, the most popular cryptocurrency, rose by around 11 percent, exceeding $71,000 for the first time since early June, according to exchange data.

On Binance, the largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume, Bitcoin rose 10.91 percent over 24 hours to $71,276.06, breaking the $71,000 mark for the first time since June 2.

According to data from the CoinMarketCap platform, which calculates the average price across more than 20 exchanges, the price of Bitcoin rose 11.02 percent to an average of $71,254.81.
