WASHINGTON, NOVEMBER 3 /SRNA/ – US astronauts aboard the International Space Station /ISS/ have cast their ballots in the midterm elections.
"Yes, we were able to vote from space! All three crew members had the chance to vote from the space station," NASA astronaut Anil Menon posted on X.
He said the astronauts filled out electronic ballots and sent them to election officials.
NASA astronauts have been able to vote from space since 1997.
According to NASA, astronauts fill out their ballots in orbit, and the ballots are then transmitted in encrypted form.
Americans are electing all 435 members of the House of Representatives and 35 of the 100 senators.
