AS OF SEPTEMBER, SPOTIFY WILL LABEL ARTISTS USING AI

STOCKHOLM, AUGUST 11 /SRNA – RIA Novosti/ - The Swedish audio-streaming platform Spotify announced that as of September it will begin clearly labelling artist profiles generated by artificial intelligence /AI/.

"Listeners have made it clear to us that they do not like seeing an artist profile that appears to belong to a real person, only to find out later that the persona was generated by artificial intelligence. That is why, from mid-September, you will start seeing an `AI profile` label on some artist profiles," the statement said.

The company added that music by AI-generated artists will not be included in editorial or algorithmic recommendations, except when a user already follows that artist.
