"The Russian Ministry of Health has registered the PD-1 inhibitor Areima /camrelizumab/ for the treatment of triple-negative breast cancer. This is the first neoadjuvant immunotherapy option in Russia for the treatment of a highly aggressive subtype of breast cancer, which is more common in women under the age of 50," the statement reads.
The company added that the introduction of this innovative drug has the potential to prevent more than 600 premature deaths annually.
The drug is manufactured by Petrovax Pharm in partnership with the Gamaleya National Research Centre of Epidemiology and Microbiology, using a full-cycle production process, including synthesis of the active pharmaceutical ingredient.
