ACTOR JAMES HANDY STABBED TO DEATH

LOS ANGELES, JUNE 5 /SRNA/ - American actor James Handy, known for his role in the film "Top Gun: Maverick", was stabbed to death in his home in Los Angeles, Variety reported, citing police.

Police announced that an ambulance arrived at an address in the northwest part of the city and found an "81-year-old man" unconscious in the yard of his property with a stab wound to the chest.

Paramedics took him to the hospital and later pronounced him dead.

The suspect surrendered to police at the scene, and he is the son of the victim's partner.

Police said they received a call from a man who said, "I'm the son of man, I just killed a man of sin."

Handy played bartender Jimmy in the 2022 action film sequel "Top Gun: Maverick." He also had a role in the 1995 adventure film "Jumanji".
