A VISIT TO THE SITE OF ATTACK IN STAROBILSK IS BEING ORGANIZED FOR FOREIGN JOURNALISTS

MOSCOW, MAY 23 /SRNA/ - The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs is organizing a visit for foreign correspondents accredited in Moscow to the site of a deadly Ukrainian attack on a student dormitory in Starobilsk in the Luhansk People’s Republic /LPR/, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova said.

“We are organizing a visit to the site of the tragedy for foreign correspondents accredited in Moscow. I hope BBC and CNN are not on vacation,” Zakharova wrote on Telegram.

When asked by RIA Novosti to clarify the timing, Zakharova said that the Foreign Ministry has already begun organizing the visit.

Zakharova stated that remarks by Western representatives in the UN Security Council claiming that Ukrainian forces did not attack the college in Luhansk are blatant lies, particularly those made by Latvia’s permanent representative, who lost all dignity by insisting that there were allegedly no Ukrainian strikes on the college.

She added that this is precisely why a visit to the site of the tragedy is being organized for accredited journalists.

According to the latest data, in a drone attack carried out by Ukraine in the night between May 21 and 22 on the Starobilsk pedagogical school dormitory, where 86 students were present, 10 people were killed, and 48 were injured. At least 11 are reported missing.
