6.3-MAGNITUDE EARTHQUAKE STRIKES ALASKA

NIKOLSKI, SEPTEMBER 17 /SRNA-Reuters/ – A magnitude 6.3 earthquake struck the Nikolski area of Alaska, the US Geological Survey said.

The agency said the earthquake was recorded at a depth of 83 kilometers.

There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage.
