YEREVAN, OCTOBER 10 /SRNA/ – Serbian national boxing team member Sara Ćirković from Bratunac has won another title at the European U22 Boxing Championships in Yerevan, bringing the fifth European gold medal to Serbia and Republika Srpska.

Ćirković triumphed in the 54-kilogram category final, defeating Russia's Daria Panteleyeva by unanimous judges' decision, thus claiming her third consecutive European gold medal in Olympic boxing at the youth senior level.

At the Yerevan competition, Sara also received a special trophy awarded to the best female boxer of the European Championship.

This is Sara's fifth European gold medal across all age categories at European championships.

Her previous European titles in this age group came in Budva /2023/ and Sofia /2024/, where she was also named the best female boxer, just as she was in Yerevan.

Ćirković expressed gratitude to everyone from Serbia and Republika Srpska who supported her.

"This is the fifth European gold for Serbia and Srpska, and I'm proud of it. On top of that, I received the trophy for the best boxer of the tournament, which means a lot to me for the continuation of my career," Ćirković said after the competition.

The Serbian women's team is returning from Yerevan with a total of two gold, four silver, and three bronze medals.

Alongside Ćirković, Sanja Mitić also won gold in the under-50-kilogram category.
