ĆIRKOVIĆ ADVANCES TO EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL IN SOFIA

BELGRADE, SEPTEMBER 24 /SRNA/ – Serbian boxer Sara Ćirković advanced to the final of the European Championship in Sofia in the 54-kilogram category and will defend the gold medal she won two years ago in Belgrade.

She defeated Russia's Anastasia Kol in the semifinals by a 3-2 judges' decision, securing at least a silver medal.

Ćirković will fight for a second consecutive European Championship gold against the winner of the other semifinal between Lenka Bernardova of the Czech Republic and Pihla Kaivo-oja of Finland, Belgrade media reported.
