MESSI SET TO BUY ANOTHER SPANISH CLUB

MADRID, SEPTEMBER 9 /SRNA/ - Argentinian footballer Lionel Messi has reached an agreement in principle to become the new owner of Spanish second-division side C.D. Eldense, which will give him majority stake in two Spanish clubs, after he bought fifth-division side UE Cornella in April, the club said.

The club told Reuters that the operation is pending completion of the final legal and contractual procedures, as well as the mandatory authorization from the High Council for Sports.

According to Spanish media, the deal to purchase Eldense is expected to be completed in the coming days.

Reuters added that Messi /39/ is also set to receive a stake in current club Inter Miami.
