ITALIANS ARE WINNERS OF TENNIS TOURNAMENT

DOBOJ, JUNE 28 /SRNA/ - Italians Niccolo Satta and Ludovica Casalino emerged victorious in the men’s and women’s categories at the ITF J30 "Doboj Open 2025" international junior tennis tournament for boys and girls under 18, which concluded today.

In the men’s final, Satta defeated his compatriot Alessandro Fiocchi 2-1 in sets, with scores of 1-6, 6-4, and 6-0.

Casalino won the women’s final against Korana Barišić from Croatia 2-0 in sets, with scores of 6-3 and 6-2.

In the men’s doubles competition, Satta and Fiocchi defeated their compatriots, the Italian pair Vincenzo Curinga and Martino Scotuzzi.

The Slovenian pair Sara Mihelčič and Zala Vnuk outperformed the Italian duo Crystal Aratari and Ludovica Casalino.

Last year’s doubles champions were the Hungarian-Serbian men’s pair Marcell Kovacs and Nikola Radišić, and the French-Croatian women’s pair Lana Agbaba and Ana Petković.

In the singles competition, last year’s best players were Ana Petković from Croatia and Leon Sloboda from Slovakia.

The host of the tournament is the Tennis Club "Doboj."
