BANJA LUKA, JUNE 1 /SRNA/ – The "Veterans of Republika Srpska" Association will file a lawsuit against the Bosniak organization that organized the so-called "White Armbands" gathering in Prijedor, and a lawyer has already been engaged, as the association believes it is high time for the judiciary to establish the real truth about the events that took place in that town in 1992 during the war.

Duško Vukotić, President of the Assembly of the "Veterans of Republika Srpska," told SRNA that the lawyer is currently preparing the lawsuit.

Vukotić emphasized that Serbs can no longer tolerate the narrative that portrays them as the "bad guys" while everyone else is seen as good.

"This is one of the most extreme examples of a black-and-white narrative in BiH, and we cannot accept it," Vukotić stressed, adding that preserving Republika Srpska is their core program goal.

He said he is confident that the lawsuit will also be supported by the Organization of Senior Officers of the Army of Republika Srpska, the Association of War Invalids of Srpska, the Association of Prison Camp Detainees of Srpska, and the UDAS organization.

He recalled a previous court case in which, according to part of the verdict, it was established that there were no "white armbands" in Prijedor and that there are audio recordings from that time in which no one mentions this phrase.
