VIŠKOVIĆ: BUSINESS FORUM IS EXCELLENT OPPORTUNITY FOR INTERNATIONAL PROMOTION OF SRPSKA

BANJA LUKA, JULY 23 /SRNA/ – The Prime Minister of Republika Srpska Radovan Višković stated today in Banja Luka that the Business Forum of Srpska and Tatarstan is a good opportunity for the international promotion of Srpska and its potentials.

"Our businesspeople will have the chance to get acquainted with the potentials of Tatarstan," Višković said at a press conference ahead of the Business Forum held at the Chamber of Commerce of Republika Srpska.

He noted that Russian President Vladimir Putin designated this Russian republic for cooperation with Srpska.

"Tatarstan is the most developed republic in the Russian Federation, with four million inhabitants and a highly developed economy. I see a very great potential for cooperation," Višković emphasized.

The Prime Minister of Srpska announced that tomorrow he will have a final meeting with the delegation of Tatarstan, led by Deputy Prime Minister Oleg Korobchenko, where they will summarize what has been agreed and create an action plan for further activities.

"We truly have many resources for cooperation. Students from the University of Banja Luka, joined by students from the University of East Sarajevo, are currently in Tatarstan for a summer school, and this will continue to be the practice," Višković said.

He stressed that cooperation will extend beyond the economy to include education, sports, culture, and other fields.

Višković believes that both republics will benefit from the cooperation agreed upon these days.

"We have a huge advantage because we are building cooperation on brotherly and friendly relations, so business cooperation comes as an upgrade," Višković said.

He added that Russia and its republic Tatarstan nurture the same values as Republika Srpska, especially regarding family and youth, and he believes this mutual understanding will be a precondition for success in other areas of cooperation.

Višković thanked the guests from Tatarstan, as well as Russian President Vladimir Putin for his understanding and support.

A Business Forum is being held at the Chamber of Commerce of Republika Srpska, during which an agreement on cooperation was signed between this Chamber and the Chamber of Commerce of Tatarstan.

The forum is attended by the President of the Chamber of Commerce of Republika Srpska, Goran Račić, Deputy Prime Minister of Tatarstan Oleg Korobchenko, Russian Ambassador to BiH Igor Kalabukhov, Head of the Srpska Representative Office in Moscow Duško Perović, numerous ministers of the Srpska Government, and business representatives.
