BANJA LUKA, JULY 7 /SRNA/ - The decision by the Chairman of the Presidency of BiH Denis Bećirović on the appointment of members of the Commission to Preserve National Monuments represents a blatant violation of the Dayton Peace Agreement, Republika Srpska Minister for Spatial Planning, Construction and Ecology Bojan Vipotnik told SRNA.
"The veto by the Serb member of the Presidency of BiH Željka Cvijanović and today's special session of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska are a strong response to decisions that are harmful to the vital interests of Republika Srpska," Vipotnik said.
He believes that the aforementioned decision amounts to undermining the foundations on which BiH should be built.
The 40th special session of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska is underway in Banja Luka, where MPs are to vote on the veto by the Serb member of the Presidency of BiH, Željka Cvijanović, against the decision by Presidency Chairman Denis Bećirović on the appointment of members of the Commission to Preserve National Monuments of BiH.
