VERDICTS AGAINST THAÇI AND OTHERS - PARODY OF JUSTICE

BANJA LUKA, SEPTEMBER 16 /SRNA/ - President Milorad Dodik said that the sentence handed down to Hashim Thaçi and the other former commanders of the so-called Kosovo Liberation Army /KLA/ is a caricature of justice, serving to relativize crimes against Serbs and grant amnesty to the terrorism of that organization.

Dodik stressed that it is shameful that the systematic killing of Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija was not classified as a war crime against humanity, but instead it appears that the victims were merely innocent bystanders.

"Thaçi was the ideologue and leader of a terrorist organization, a direct perpetrator and the person who gave the orders. All of that has been disregarded. We have long known that there is no justice or law in The Hague, and now we know for certain that there is neither respect nor compassion for Serbian victims," Dodik said on X.

He added that the fact that the trial was held 25 years after the crimes were committed shows that the intention was to conceal those crimes.

A court in The Hague today sentenced four leaders of the terrorist KLA to a total of 81 years in prison. Thaçi and Jakup Krasniqi were each sentenced to 25 years, Kadri Veseli to 18 years and Rexhep Selimi to 13 years.
