BANJA LUKA, MARCH 27 /SRNA/ - The Republika Srpska Government has announced that it expects Interpol to reject the request submitted by unconstitutional Court of BiH to issue an Interpol arrest warrant for the Srpska leadership as it is more than clear that this is a political showdown with the Srpska institutions by the unconstitutional judicial institutions of BiH.

The Government of Republika Srpska reviewed the oral joint information on political-security situation of the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Interior after this request by the unconstitutional Court of BiH and took the position that the political persecution of republican institutions continues with such activities of the above-mentioned court.

It is about the persecution of the president of Republika Srpska, the speaker of the National Assembly, the Republika Srpska Government, as well as "showdown" and abuse of rights for political purposes in order to prevent the work and functioning of the Srpska Government, the Government Public Relations Bureau announced after the Government session.

"In addition to Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik, National Assembly Speaker Nenad Stevandić, Prime Minister Radovan Višković, several ministers in the Government are also subject to political persecution, with the aim of preventing its work and functioning," the statement reads.

Article three of the Interpol Statute clearly defines that "the organisation strictly prohibits any activity or intervention in matters that have a political, military, religious or racial background."

From all of the above-mentioned, the government pointed out, it is more than clear that this is a political showdown with the institutions of Srpska by the unconstitutional judicial institutions of BiH.

"We expect that, in accordance with that and with its statute, the Interpol headquarters in Lyon rejects such a request or proposal sent by the Interpol Office Sarajevo at the request of the unconstitutional Court of BiH. We inform the public in Srpska and BiH that such a harsh attack on the Republic institutions and its representatives has produced the biggest post-Dayton constitutional crisis in BiH. The imposition of decisions and amendments to the Criminal Code of BiH by the illegal and illegitimate high representative Christian Schmidt has contributed to all this", stated the Government.

Revoking shameful undemocratic and unconstitutional Christian Schmidt’s decisions is the way out of this constitutional crisis, they added.
