BANJA LUKA, MARCH 24 /SRNA/ - Željka Cvijanović, the Serb member of the Presidency of BiH, stated that this date, marking the start of the NATO aggression against the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia 27 years ago, will forever remain etched as part of our collective consciousness and a day of remembrance for all victims.

Cvijanović said that today we remember with deep respect the innocent victims of the NATO aggression against the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, which began exactly 27 years ago without the approval of the UN Security Council.

"May their memory be eternal, and may it be a pledge for all of us never to forget them," Cvijanović wrote on X.

NATO began its aggression against the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia on March 24, 1999.

The aggression lasted 78 days, during which thousands of soldiers and civilians were killed, and material damage amounting to tens of billions of dollars was inflicted.

During the aggression, weapons prohibited by international conventions were used, including cluster bombs and depleted uranium munitions.
