BANJA LUKA, JANUARY 28 /SRNA/ - President of the National Assembly of the Republika Srpska Nenad Stevandić said during a meeting in Banja Luka with the Czech Ambassador to BiH, Jana Lolić Šindelková, that the Republlika Srpska is a cooperative partner and a political subject that must be engaged with, rather than one that is talked about.
Stevandić pointed out that it is necessary for the European Union to adopt a more rational and balanced approach toward the peoples and entities in BiH, the National Assembly of the Republika Srpska said in a statement.
He emphasized that preserving peace and stability is of paramount importance in BiH, and that these are ensured through accelerated economic development. Stevandić added that a clear and concrete EU development agenda is needed, focused on economic growth, infrastructure projects, and sustainable development.
"The Republika Srpska has the political will and possesses significant capacities, particularly in the energy and agri-food sectors, which can be an important part of this process,!" Stevandić stressed.
The meeting also addressed the current political situation in the Republika Srpska, BiH, and the process of European integration, the statement added./
