PRIJEDOR, JULY 11 /SRNA/ - Speaker of the Republika Srpska National Assembly Nenad Stevandić said that the global campaign about Serbian suffering and the truth about it, which can currently be heard in New York and London, is the result of Republika Srpska’s dedication to bringing this issue to light.

"We can be proud of everything we have done in this regard. However, because of this, we are facing new condemnations and threats. They are trying to persecute us and arrest us, but we are not afraid in the slightest. We will continue," Stevandić told reporters at Mrakovica.

The Memorial Center of Republika Srpska has launched the international campaign "Learn About Serbian Suffering" in the center of New York, presenting for the first time in history in the United States the story of the suffering of the Serbian people.

As part of this campaign, a mobile multimedia exhibition featuring documented facts about the centuries-long suffering of the Serbian people is being held. The mobile exhibition has been traveling through the streets of Manhattan today and yesterday, while the campaign’s content is being displayed at some of New York’s most prominent locations, including the area in front of the United Nations headquarters, as well as numerous other sites that represent symbols of global diplomacy, media, and contemporary urban life.

Documentary materials, archival photographs, and historical facts are being displayed on digital screens, accompanied by a QR code that directs visitors to the official website of the Memorial Center of Republika Srpska, specially prepared for an international audience.

Visitors have the opportunity to learn about facts concerning the genocide against Serbs in the Independent State of Croatia /NDH/, the suffering of more than one million Serbs during the Second World War, the concentration camp system, including the fact that the NDH was the only state in occupied Europe that established specialized concentration camps for children.

Documented facts are also being presented about the suffering of more than 30,000 Serbs during the war in BiH, the suffering of Serbs in the Middle Podrinje and Birač regions, the expulsion of more than 250,000 Serbs from Croatia, the suffering of Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija, camps, mass graves, missing persons, the involvement of foreign mujahideen in the war in BiH, as well as the NATO bombing of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia in 1999.
