STEVANDIĆ: NEW CONSTITUTION GREATLY SUPPORTED, REFERENDUM POSSIBLE

DOBOJ, APRIL 10 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska National Assembly Speaker Nenad Stevandić says adopting new Srpska constitution is greatly supported, which can be decided on in a referendum.

"Due to certain comments of those from the political milieu of the opposition or someone else, who do not attend the public debates, we are always ready to check what we claim the people think in a referendum," Stevandić told the press in Doboj, where a public dabate on the Draft Srpska Constitution was held today.

And, he has added, if the aforementioned factors believe that the decision in the National Assembly would be the result of some kind of political moment.

Stevandić has emphasized that the goal is to put everything in order on that front and to adopt a new constitution.

On this occasion, he expressed his satisfaction with the results of public and other discussions on the Draft Constitution of Srpska.

The National Assembly of Republika Srpska adopted the Decision defining the Draft Constitution of Republika Srpska at its session on March 13.
