STEVANDIĆ: CONTINUATION OF INVESTMENTS AIM OF REVISED BUDGET ADOPTION

BANJA LUKA, JUNE 16 /SRNA/ – Republika Srpska National Assembly Speaker Nenad Stevandić has stated today in Banja Luka that the proposed revised Srpska budget for this year has been well prepared and that the objective of adopting the document is to continue investments and improve citizens' living conditions.

"Republika Srpska is not heading toward debt bondage. Any progress in any sector involves some form of borrowing," Stevandić said during the debate on the proposed revised budget for this year at the Republika Srpska National Assembly.

He emphasized that Republika Srpska is less indebted than other countries in the region.
"Through borrowing, we have built hospitals, roads, the Government building, and implemented significant projects. Some of the loans used to construct facilities and roads have already been repaid, and this kind of functioning is normal," Stevandić added.

Stevandić stressed that the authorities are managing Republika Srpska responsibly and that this approach will continue.
