BANJA LUKA, JULY 26 /SRNA/ –Republika Srpska National Assembly Speaker, Nenad Stevandić, condemned the setting the car belonging to National Assembly MP Amir Hurtić on fire and expressed hope that the case will be resolved and the perpetrator prosecuted.

Stevandić emphasized that Republika Srpska must remain a democratic and responsible society in which all forms of violence are prevented, condemned, and punished.

"It is also important to be cautious and consider the motives of those who, through such an act or its consequences, may with malicious intent seek to provoke negative political and security repercussions for Republika Srpska," Stevandić posted on X.

He has stressed that Hurtić must not be endangered under any circumstances.

The police received a report last night about a vehicle on fire in the Doboj neighbourhood of Grapska, which was extinguished, and an investigation is currently underway.

The vehicle belonging to Amir Hurtić, a member of the parliamentary group BH Greens–SDA in the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, was set on fire. Hurtić shared a photo of the damaged vehicle on Facebook.
