BANJA LUKA, NOVEMBER 17 /SRNA/ – Republika Srpska National Assembly Speaker, Nenad Stevandić, believes that statements by Bosniak politicians in Srpska claiming that there are enough Bosniaks in Republika Srpska to “decide the outcome” of the upcoming presidential elections represent yet another step toward destabilizing relations.

"They want to continue disrupting relations that are based on equality and mutual respect between the entities and peoples, relations that should move forward through consensus-based decisions. As long as that existed, BiH progress existed too," Stevandić told SRNA.

He expresses hope that the Bosniak people is mature and wise enough, wanting the same as the Serb people in terms of preserving peace and respecting the authentic, not imposed, will of the entities and peoples.

"I hope the Bosniak people is much more mature than the politicians," Stevandić said.

He added that he also hopes everything will be properly and wisely understood on the Serb side, too.

"I hope we won't extinguish fire with gasoline, but will show ourselves as people who understand the processes and act educationally toward others," Stevandić stated.
