STABLE SECURITY SITUATION IN SRPSKA

BANJA LUKA, MARCH 31 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska Minister of Interior Siniša Karan and Police Director, Sinisa Kostrešević, with EUFOR Commander in BiH Florin-Marian Barbu, have stated at the meeting that the security situation in Srpska is favourable and stable.

"It was established that the current political situation did not affect the security situation in Republika Srpska and BiH," the Srpska Interior Ministry announced.

The Republika Srpska Interior Ministry states its police officers, in accordance with their legal responsibilities, perform all tasks related to combating the crime, maintaining stable public order and peace, and other tasks within their jurisdiction.

At the meeting, Karan and Barbu stated that the cooperation between EUFOR and the Republika Srpska MoI had been good so far, and they emphasized their determination to continue it.

Karan and Kostrešević hosted Barbu today for an initial visit.
