SRPSKA'S DIPLOMATIC OFFENSIVE GIVES RESULTS

BELGRADE, SEPTEMBER 22 /SRNA/ - State Secretary in the Ministry of Labour, Employment, Veterans and Social Affairs of Serbia Nikola Vukelić told SRNA that the Republika Srpska Memorial Centre's exhibition entitled "Meet the Suffering of Serbs” opened in Congress in Washington, which was visited today by the Serb BiH Presidency member Željka Cvijanović, is the result of a major Srpska's diplomatic offensive.

Vukelić believes that the exhibition in the US Congress building is important in order to remove the earlier wrong narrative, according to which the Serbs were allegedly the main criminals in the Balkans during the 1990s conflict, and the opportunity to document who initiated the war and how it came to be.

He pointed out that this is a serious matter in the fight for the truth, and diplomatic efforts have made everything change drastically from day to day in favour of Republika Srpska.

"The outcomes are already visible and we hope that they will be even more concrete and that there will be major changes for the better for both the Serb people and Republika Srpska," said Vukelić.

He pointed out that Cvijanović's meeting with Susie Wiles, US President Donald Trump's Chief of Staff, will certainly contribute to making the voice of the Republika Srpska heard even more, as well as the truth about the Serb people and the occurrences in the Balkans.

Vukelić says that this is exactly Republika Srpska's goal - for the truth to be heard and for the world, i.e. in the USA, to be neutral and fair towards the Serbs when making certain decisions.

"We faced a great injustice when sanctions were imposed on the Republika Srpska leadership and when Milorad Dodik was subjected to a staged trial that had absolutely nothing to do with the law, but was simply a political inquisition," noted Vukelić.

Vukelić reminds that the war broke out because the Serbs were expelled from the Constitution of BiH and because they were about to be expelled or over a repeat of the events from World War II when mass slaughters of Serbs were carried out.

This exhibition is really a serious matter and it is good that both Republika Srpska and Serbia in coordination are achieving greater and greater success when it comes to international politics," said Vukelić.

He says that the truth that the Serbs were victims of the 990s wars, whih they did not want, but which was imposed on them and that they were simply forced to defend themselves, finds path.
