BANJA LUKA, SEPTEMBER 2 /SRNA/ – The President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik stated that road transporters are completely right and that Republika Srpska will do everything to ensure they receive fair conditions and treatment, while the Minister of Communications and Transport in the Council of Ministers, Edin Forto, should at least show a minimum of responsibility by resigning.
"Forto and his associates, faced with real life, are nothing more than ordinary offspring of foreign interests. Road transporters are completely right. Their voice represents real life, not salon politics and empty talks that Forto and his political patrons have been serving for years," Dodik emphasized.
"The politest thing Forto can do now is to resign and remove himself from a position he clearly is not capable of holding," Dodik noted, adding that by doing so he would at least demonstrate a minimum of responsibility toward the people whose lives he has endangered through inaction and incompetence.
Dodik pointed out that Forto has posed as capable of interpreting all global and local processes in favor of foreigners, but now, when it comes to rolling up his sleeves and doing something for the transporters, his inadequacy and the absence of BiH are revealed.
"Those who have worked for decades against the interests of everyone now have nothing to offer but empty phrases and evasion of responsibility," Dodik stated on X.
Unlike such a BiH, Dodik emphasized, the people of Republika Srpska can always rely on their Republic and know that it will always act solely in the interest of its citizens.
"That is why we will do everything, through Republika Srpska institutions and through our representatives in joint bodies, to ensure that road transporters receive what belongs to them – fair conditions and fair treatment. Forto and his like-minded colleagues can continue dealing with theories and excuses – Republika Srpska will deal with solutions," Dodik said.
Transporters gathered around the Logistika BiH Consortium continued road blockades across Republika Srpska and the Federation of BiH today.
