SRPSKA CALLS FOR AGREEMENT, RADICAL BOSNIAN POLICY CALLS FOR WAR – MAHMUTOVIĆ IS PROOF OF THAT

BANJA LUKA, APRIL 5 /SRNA/ - Some of the marginal figures of the Bosnian political scene firmly believe that by politically persecuting key figures of Republika Srpska, they will call into question the existence of the Republic itself. However, they forget that the strong interest of the Serbian people and faith in their state is the determinant that has paved the way for every subsequent step which Serbs will never and cannot abandon, the senator of Republika Srpska, Dušanka Majkić, told SRNA.

Majkić says that the call made by a member of the Republika Srpska Council of Peoples, Dževad Mahmutović, to "shoot at the police of Republika Srpska" is shameful.

"While Republika Srpska has been calling for an agreement in BiH for years, the radical Bosnian policy, on the other hand, is calling for war. Here, Mahmutović is a proof of that," emphasized Majkić.

She assessed that it is good to recognize that the calls from Srpska towards those who are unwilling to reach any agreement and who expect BiH to be a state only for their people are in vain.

"Our paths completely diverge here. We have nothing to discuss with those who call for war," Majkić said.

Commenting on Interpol's refusal to issue a red notice for the President of Srpska, Milorad Dodik, and the Speaker of the National Assembly, Nenad Stevandić, Majkić said that this was a strong slap in the face to the unconstitutional Court of BiH and a major rebuke to the Sarajevo politics, which is trying in every way to get rid of the strong political figures of Republika Srpska.

"Despite the incredible lobbying and propaganda of the Bosnian policy to seize every opportunity to get rid of the too strong Dodik and Republika Srpska, the Secretary General of Interpol nonetheless rejected the request for issuing an international arrest warrant, referring to Article 3 of the Interpol Statute, which prohibits the organization from engaging in any activities or interventions with political, military, religious, or racial backgrounds," said Majkić.

She added that this provided a clear answer to the Court of BiH that Interpol treats this matter as political.

"There will be no issuing of a red notice for the highest political officials of the Republic, nor an obligation for 196 countries to arrest them," emphasized Majkić.

Majkić believes that this act of Interpol must leave a significant mark on the outcome of the judicial process of the unconstitutional Court of BiH, where Judge Sena Uzunović, a former member of the so-called Army of BiH, judges and sentences the elected president of Srpska for doing his job as stipulated by the Constitution.

"The judiciary of BiH has been embarrassed before the world, weakened in its arguments. With no chance to continue along the same path in the appellate process, it now faces a serious task – how to proceed," said Majkić.

She reminded that for years, efforts have been made in BiH to regulate the judiciary and make it independent, as it should be, but unsuccessfully.

"The judiciary of BiH is under the direct influence of international tutors, foreign embassies, and foreign governors, who, through the intervention of Bosnian politics, continue to strongly act against the leadership of Republika Srpska," added Majkić.

Commenting on the statement by the Minister of Foreign Affairs in the Council of Ministers, Elmedin Konaković, who made a series of personal insults against President Dodik, Majkić emphasized that this speaks much more about his own culture, or rather lack of culture, and nothing about Dodik, a Serbian politician and statesman, about whom Konaković will have to learn much more.

"The words spoken by Konaković about President Dodik are shameful. Those unworthy of the place and moment for serious political arrangements cannot earn respect, even from those who listen to them around the world, give them a gentle pat on the shoulder, and then forget they ever saw them," concluded Majkić.
