BANJA LUKA, MARCH 18 /SRNA/ – SUBNOR welcomes the Republika Srpska National Assembly's Resolution condemning and considering ideological relativization and the revitalization of the NDH ideology, as well as the denial and minimization of the genocide against Serbs unacceptable, Slobodan Šobić, head of the organisation, told SRNA.
"This is an important document that must be respected by adopting amendments to the Republika Srpska Criminal Code, which will sanction the glorification and promotion of Ustasha and NDH ideology in Republika Srpska," Šobić said.
Regarding the announced marking of the 34th anniversary of the formation of the 103rd HVO Brigade on March 21 in Modran near Derventa, Šobić stated that the memorial to HVO members in Modran, which bears Ustasha symbols, was built illegally without a permit from the then municipality of Derventa.
"We have information that organisations from Croatia did not submit a request for the construction of this memorial, which is why we demand that Ustasha symbols be removed from this site," Šobić said.
Yesterday, the Republika Srpska National Assembly unanimously adopted the resolution proposed by the parliamentary majority, condemning and deeming unacceptable ideological relativization and the revitalization of NDH ideology, as well as the denial and minimization of genocide against Serbs. The agreed resolution also contains two conclusions proposed by the SDS caucus.
