ŠKRBIĆ RECEIVES RECOGNITION IN THE UNITED STATES FOR ACHIEVEMENTS IN SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH

BANJA LUKA, SEPTEMBER 14 /SRNA/ – Acting Rector of the University of Banja Luka, Ranko Škrbić, has received the annual award of the North American Section of the International Academy of Cardiovascular Sciences for outstanding achievements in scientific research this year.

The University of Banja Luka announced that the award was presented to Škrbić at the closing ceremony of the annual conference of the North American Section of the International Academy of Cardiovascular Sciences, which was held from September 9 to 11 in Louisville, Kentucky, USA.

As stated, the recognition represents a significant international scientific achievement for Škrbić, as well as recognition of the work of the team of researchers at the Faculty of Medicine’s Biomedical Research Centre.

"Participation in the conference and receiving the award will contribute to greater international visibility of scientific research and its promotion within the international academic community," the University of Banja Luka stated.

In addition to Škrbić, Vladimir Jakovljević and Nevena Jeremić, members of the European Section of the International Academy of Cardiovascular Sciences from the University of Kragujevac, were also awarded at the conference.

The International Academy of Cardiovascular Sciences brings together scientists from the United States and Canada who conduct research in the field of cardiovascular medicine. This year’s conference was also attended by prominent scientists from Europe, South America, and India.
