VIŠEGRAD, August 13 /SRNA/ - In addition to the Drina River, which again this summer remains the most attractive part of Višegrad's tourist offer, the town is also recording excellent attendance at its spa, namely the Vilina Vlas Hotel, whose capacities are fully booked until the end of the summer season, the director of the Višegrad Municipal Tourist Organization Branislav Andrić, told SRNA today.
Andrić pointed out that Višegrad, apart from its natural beauty, boasts a rich cultural and historical heritage, with the famous Sokollu Mehmed Pasha /Mehmed Paša Sokolović/ Bridge and Andrićgrad standing out as symbols of Republika Srpska's tourist offer.
"There are also the Dobrun Monastery, religious tourism sites, the Ivo Andrić Memorial Classroom, gallery spaces, as well as the Stari Brod memorial complex, which is visited as part of cruises along the Drina River," Andrić said.
According to him, the Višegrad Municipal Tourist Organization has significantly increased the number of tourist events this season.
"July was marked by the MOSI Games, with a large number of participants and visitors from across the region. Ahead in the season, we have the Craft Beer Festival on Friday, August 16, the Jumps from the Višegrad Bridge on August 23, the Wine Festival on August 30, and the Drina Stew competition on September 13. Among the sports events, I would highlight the Višegrad 5K race, which is being held for the first time this year," Andrić said.
He expressed his expectation that all these events will serve as an additional incentive for tourists to visit Višegrad and offer them an even richer experience during their stay in the municipality.
