PRIVILEGES FOR ELFETA VESELI - DOWNFALL OF THE JUDICIARY AT THE BIH LEVEL

ISTOČNO SARAJEVO, AUGUST 4 /SRNA/ - Acting Director of the Republic Centre for Research of War, War Crimes and Search for Missing Persons Viktor Nuždić stated to SRNA that allowing the use of out-of-prison privileges for Elfeta Veseli is a moral downfall of the judiciary at the BiH level, and he called for the accountability of those who made that decision.

Nuždić pointed out that there is no justification that can mitigate public outrage over the fact that the murderer of the boy Slobodan Stojanović has been using out-of-prison privileges since September 2024.

He said that it is a shame that the judicial system in BiH rewards a person convicted of murdering a child, adding that this system has lost all meaning.

"Due to the information that Elfeta Veseli spends more time at liberty than in prison, as a human being and a parent, I feel outrage, anger, and disbelief," Nuždić emphasized.

He indicated that this is an unprecedented disgrace and a slap in the face, not only to the family of the late boy, but also to every person who has any belief that justice exists.

"What message are we sending - that the murder of a child becomes a less terrible crime over time, that we should forget the monstrosity, and that a crime deserves privileges?" asked Nuždić.

Giving privileges to a person convicted of such a misdeed, according to him, means trampling on the memory of an innocently murdered child and humiliating all victims.

"It is time to stop with bureaucratic phrases and various excuses. Here, if anyone wishes well for this country, the truth must be known, and we must all know who made such decisions and who will bear the responsibility. We demand accountability for the persons who allowed this," said Nuždić.

Little Slobodan, as Nuždić pointed out, never got the chance to grow up, to live, to start a family, while the criminal who took his life has a chance at resocialization.

"This is the humiliation of all Serb victims," Nuždić stated.

The monstrous woman Elfeta Veseli, the murderer of the boy Slobodan Stojanović, has been using out-of-prison privileges since September 2024, the Tuzla Correctional Facility /KPZ Tuzla/ confirmed to SRNA.

Elfeta Veseli was initially sentenced before the Court of BiH to ten years in prison for the brutal murder of the boy Slobodan Stojanović. The Appellate Division of the same court later altered this to a 13-year prison sentence for the criminal offense of war crimes against the civilian population.

Her time in custody began in September 2016, and the regular expiration of her sentence is in 2029.
