PRESERVE SUBJECTIVITY AND COMPETENCES OF SRPSKA

BANJA LUKA, DECEMBER 2 /SRNA/ – President of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska Nenad Stevandić stated that anything that does not undermine the Constitution of Republika Srpska and its competences may be subject to political consideration.

Speaking about the draft laws on the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of BiH and the amendments to the Law on the Court of BiH, which the Council of Ministers is expected to consider today, Stevandić emphasized that the authorities of Srpska aim to preserve the subjectivity of Republika Srpska.

"The Constitution of Republika Srpska is aligned with the Constitution of BiH, which regulates the issues of authority, competences, and property. Therefore, anything that does not undermine the Constitution of Srpska can be subject to political deliberation, acceptance or rejection, or discussions about the government and the opposition," Stevandić told reporters in Banja Luka.

He stressed that those who hold power also bear responsibility in the sense that they can accept anything that does not disrupt the functionality of Republika Srpska's constitutional competences.
