BANJA LUKA, September 2 /SRNA/ - Jelena Pajić-Baštinac, Secretary General to the President of Republika Srpska, told SRNA that the Office of the President of Republika Srpska had, as previously announced to the public, on August 23 forwarded to the National Assembly of Republika Srpska the Decision of President Milorad Dodik nominating Savo Minić as candidate for Prime Minister of Republika Srpska.
Pajić-Baštinac emphasized that President Dodik made this Decision in accordance with his constitutional powers as President of Republika Srpska.
"Even if the claims of opposition deputies in the National Assembly of Republika Srpska were true, that Prime Minister-designate Minić was nominated unconstitutionally and that the new Government would be unconstitutional, we remind that the enforceability of a /second-instance/ court decision cannot occur before the ruling is delivered to the party in the proceedings - in this case to the attorney of record, Goran Bubić, on August 28 - and it could only become enforceable on August 29," Pajić-Baštinac explained.
She added that President Dodik is the legitimately elected President from the general elections and, in line with his constitutional powers, proposed a Prime Minister-designate for the composition of the Government of Republika Srpska.
"Therefore, I once again reiterate that the claims of opposition deputies in the National Assembly about the alleged unconstitutionality of the future Government under Savo Minić are absolutely false, because the proposal is constitutional and fully in line with the powers of the President of Republika Srpska.
It is already well known that the authority for the opposition is the foreigner Christian Schmidt, who was not legitimately appointed as High Representative - something he himself admitted - and that is why they spread falsehoods and mislead the public in Republika Srpska," Pajić-Baštinac stressed.
