PAJIĆ-BAŠTINAC: THROUGH DISGRACEFUL LOBBYING, SCHMIDT HAS FULLY EXPOSED TRUE STATE OF AFFAIRS IN SARAJEVO

BANJA LUKA, JUNE 16 /SRNA/ - In the attempt to portray Sarajevo as a European city and Bosniak political structures as pro-European, Christian Schmidt has instead done the opposite and completely exposed the true state of affairs in that pro-Muslim city, Jelena Pajić-Baštinac, the Secretary General to the Republika Srpska President, cited in SRNA statement.

"By lobbying for the Conference of European Rabbis to be held in Sarajevo, with the clear intent to present the Sarajevo ‘TroIka’ as aligned with European values, Schmidt has confirmed to the global public what we have long known and repeatedly pointed out - that Sarajevo is incapable of hosting any event not backed by the Muslim side," stated Pajić-Baštinac.

She emphasized that this reveals the complete chaos and absence of governance in the Federation of BiH, where Schmidt imposes himself as a chief commissioner, having dismantled institutions, undermined stability in BiH, and plunged the country into an unprecedented constitutional and political crisis.

She also recalled the shameful cancellation of the Western Balkans and EU leaders’ summit that was supposed to be held last year in Neum, due to a failed tender. She stressed that the joint BiH institutions, especially Foreign Minister Elmedin Konaković, disgraced themselves yet again by demonstrating they are incapable of organising any event or handling serious responsibilities.

"This shows the incompetence of the Sarajevo ‘Troika,’ which does nothing but obsess over Republika Srpska and spread slander across the world. That so-called political strategy -slandering Srpska and the Serb people globally - has now been exposed on an international level, ironically thanks to their own sponsor, the failed diplomat Schmidt," said Pajić-Baštinac.

She emphasizes that Schmidt is a person who only discredits BiH, creating chaos and disorder to appease Bosniak politicians and rescue their failed policies out of gratitude, since they are the only ones who recognise him as High Representative, even though he and they both know he is not.

Pajić-Baštinac described this situation as further proof that amateur Konaković is embarrassing the country by “tying the horse where the agha says,” only to remain free longer and hide his incompetence and amateurism.

"On the other hand, through this disgraceful lobbying for hosting the Conference of European Rabbis in Sarajevo, Schmidt has inflicted immeasurable damage to BiH, while the Bosniak side, without any shame, continues to create even greater diplomatic problems and scandals than before, especially now that their representative is Commissioner Schmidt, who, in addition to pretending to be the High Representative, also plays the role of FBiH’s boss," she stated.

Pajić-Baštinac concluded by saying that Christian Schmidt is not only a failed diplomat but also a bad actor in bad movies, who ruins everything he touches.

"Political Sarajevo should reflect deeply on this, because at the pace Schmidt is taking, he might end up completely destroying BiH," she warned.
