MINIĆ: WORKS ON THE FOČA-TJENTIŠTE ROAD MUST BEGIN WITHIN 15 DAYS

TREBINJE, MAY 23 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska Prime Minister Savo Minić said that works on the Foča–Tjentište road must begin within 15 days, regardless of any problems that may arise.

Minić pointed to certain technical issues, including the discovery of medieval tombstones /stećci/, and said that he had sent the relevant minister, Zoran Stevanović, to Foča.

He added that he has already informed the contractor that penalties will be applied, and that he has instructed the minister that construction on this section must resume within 15 days, stressing that the funds have been unused for two years.

Minić said that a tender for the Foča–Šćepan Polje road, which is very important, will also be issued by the end of May.

“Regarding the Foča–Sarajevo road, I have instructed Minister Stevanović to inspect all works related to Bistrica, and I have asked the relevant institutions to submit a report regarding the installation of piles and the period during which the traffic lane, which was opened seven days ago, has not been functioning, as it appears to be in very poor condition,” Minić said.

He emphasized that all matters under the jurisdiction of the Government of Republika Srpska will be initiated.
