MINIĆ: SRPSKA MOVING FORWARD IN GREAT STRIDES, WE WANT CITIZENS TO FEEL IT

BIJELJINA, AUGUST 14 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska Prime Minister Savo Minić says that Srpska is currently moving forward in great strides, is liquid and solvent, and that the Government wants citizens to feel the benefits through co-financing extended childcare programmes in private institutions, as well as one-time assistance for pensioners in Srpska.

"We have also started distributing textbooks. Starting today, the first increased allowance payments to war veteran categories are being made. All of this was announced in my exposition and in everything the Government promised to accomplish over the course of this year," Minić told the press in Bijeljina.

He recalled that the decision on financing extended childcare programmes in private institutions must be operational by September, so that children who do not have the opportunity to attend such programmes in public institutions can also receive financial assistance for this purpose.

"There are around 600 such children in Srpska. We want to participate in covering these costs. This is most pronounced in Banja Luka," Minić said.

The Republika Srpska prime minister also said that he spoke today with the director of the Republika Srpska Pension and Disability Insurance Fund about calculating assistance for pensioners in Srpska.

"It will range between BAM 80 and 120, depending on the amount of the pension, for around 290,000 of our pensioners," Minić said.
