BIJELJINA, MARCH 10 /SRNA/ – Republika Srpska Prime Minister Savo Minić says that Republika Srpska is energy-stable, that additional quantities of oil and petroleum products will arrive in Srpska, and that there will be no fuel shortages at gas stations.
Minić says that the Government is monitoring the situation worldwide when it comes to energy stability, emphasizing that Republika Srpska currently has favourable hydrological conditions that will last for two to three months. In the meantime, the Ugljevik Mine and Thermal Power Plant will also be connected to the system.
Regarding fuel, Minić says that according to information from a meeting with representatives of gas stations and business owners who operate oil terminals, there will be no fuel shortages at gas stations in Srpska.
He added that yesterday lists were distributed for subsidized diesel for agricultural producers in Srpska and that the distribution of this subsidized fuel is beginning, stressing that there is no need for crowds or panic.
"We will monitor the limits on margins. For the past two days, our inspectors have been fining all gas stations that set new prices based on old stock, which of course is not acceptable," Minić told the press in Bijeljina.
Among the measures the Republika Srpska Government will introduce, Minić also mentioned limiting other margins, because after fuel prices rise, the prices of all other goods immediately increase, while when fuel prices drop, the prices of goods remain high.
